Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj performed the remix to “***Flawless” at the On The Run concert in Paris. I am so JELLIS! I saw On The Run in Miami and in San Francisco (phenomenal; truly) and I wanted Nicki to come out in San Fran but I see it was planned for the international show as it wouldn’t have been enough time for San Fran. I saw all the YouTube videos of this performance (before Sony took them down, but there are a few on Instagram) and it was great. Their expressions back and forth were so connected, such artistic synergy and sisterhood. (Though my personal preference song wise is for the original version, I do really really like what they did with this as a performance. Nicki killed it!)

And like Twitter buddy (whose music critiques I always love) @cnrush alluded to this morning, it was like Bey was hyping her! I mean, career legend making space for Nicki to shine? Great. And Nicki was SO HAPPY; her Instagram posts of this are truly endearing, even alluding to the fact that this was a goal of hers. I love this!

Oh and these Versace costumes! LOVE!

"I feel like grading Beyonce’s feminism is mental masturbation that doesn’t accomplish much. Because here’s the thing. If the consensus is that Bey (or anyone else) is a bad feminist because they aren’t perfect or consistent …. what effect does that actually have on the world? What change does it create?" - Roxane Gay

Breaking news: White fuckboys on twitter bitching how funny it is that Beyoncé is a feminist when she and her dancers were provocative and half naked. Despite feminism being about empowerment and a woman’s right to do whatever the hell she pleases with it, they just don’t seem to be able to grasp this concept.

In other news, men still don’t know what feminism is, still bitter that they aren’t Beyoncé and still making themselves look like asses on the internet.

And now the weather.
